Night Rider Police Chases

Checked

Police chases in Night Rider are completely optional and can be turned off at any time. The bounty number displayed on your screen during an active chase is not money already deposited in your wallet. While footage narration describes higher difficulties as offering larger payouts, your final return depends entirely on whether you can outrun the pursuit without getting caught.

Step 1: Check the switch and the difficulty

Look at the top-right corner of your screen to confirm pursuit status. The badge displays:

  • POLICE ON: EASY
  • POLICE ON: MEDIUM
  • POLICE ON: HARD
  • Police disabled (pursuits turned off)

How you know it worked: The top-right badge updates to display your chosen difficulty tier or indicates that chases are disabled.

Menu interaction gap: The exact click path or interface button used to toggle pursuits on and off or adjust difficulty was not captured in recorded footage.

Step 2: Read the wanted HUD

When a pursuit begins, your screen displays five dedicated indicators:

  1. Five wanted stars: Fill as pursuit intensity rises.
  2. WANTED dollar figure: A running bounty value that accumulates while surviving the pursuit.
  3. Heat meter: A visual gauge tracking active police pressure.
  4. COOLDOWN bar: Tracks how close pursuing cruisers are to losing sight of your bike.
  5. EVADING …%: A percentage progress bar that climbs toward a clean escape.

How you know it worked: All five pursuit HUD elements appear on screen and update continuously as you ride.

Step 3: Stay ahead

  1. Accelerate to top speed immediately when the pursuit begins.
  2. Steer clear of patrol cars parked along the highway shoulders (visible on screen waiting at roadside checkpoints).
  3. Watch for police loudspeaker alerts, including the exact voice line: THIS IS YOUR LAST WARNING, PULL OVER!
  4. Avoid sudden braking or sharp deceleration. Footage narration specifically instructs riders to hold top speed without slowing down, and notes that speed traps are placed along the highway.

How you know it worked: The EVADING …% gauge steadily increases while red warning banners clear from the HUD.

Step 4: Check the payout after you escape

According to footage narration, successfully evading a chase on HARD difficulty pays out approximately $6,000, and evading at higher difficulties triggers a follow-up wave of police cruisers shortly after.

Attribution note: This payout amount and the multi-wave mechanic reflect statements made by the video narrator during gameplay.

Feedback gap: The exact on-screen notification text or completion banner displayed upon a successful evasion was not captured in recorded footage.

Observed chase snapshots

The following values were recorded directly from gameplay footage during active chases:

Source Timestamp Stars Difficulty On-screen bounty Additional HUD details
Berlian (CVMG1CX6g1Y) 00:04:48 2 stars MEDIUM $317 Red alert text: THEY'RE CLOSING IN
Berlian (CVMG1CX6g1Y) 00:05:02 3 stars MEDIUM $646 Heat bar active
NoobBlox (EYz2McCjNJY) 00:05:01 5 stars HARD $5,941 Full 5-star pursuit
NoobBlox (EYz2McCjNJY) 00:07:26 5 stars HARD $6,571 Gauge reads EVADING 21%

These readings are snapshots taken during single pursuit runs, not fixed rewards or expected earnings.

The bounty accumulates dynamically while surviving an active pursuit, meaning on-screen numbers vary continuously depending on survival duration rather than representing a guaranteed static payout.

When you get busted

If patrol vehicles box you in or force a crash, a red BUSTED banner covers the screen.

When busted, the game presents a paid recovery option:

  • Banner header: DON'T LEAVE EMPTY-HANDED
  • Recovery offer: CLAIM 2X ANYWAY $1,292
  • Cost: R$ 9

The $1,292 figure offered in that recording is exactly double the $646 bounty active at the moment of arrest.

Footage narration notes that getting busted imposes a cash fine, and the narrator reported a single fine reading of 433 upon arrest.

We did not capture the mathematical formula used to calculate arrest fines in recorded footage. We do not provide an estimated average loss or fine formula because no calculation rules were verified on camera.

Should you turn it on?

Use this decision guide before toggling police pursuits:

  • If you are still learning bike handling and traffic weaving: Turn police off completely or select EASY. Crashing into traffic during a chase triggers an immediate bust and incurs fine deductions.
  • If you can consistently ride near top speed without collisions: Select MEDIUM or HARD to practice high-speed evasion. Measure your actual earnings by checking the cash banked in your wallet after an escape, rather than relying on the bounty figure shown on the HUD.

Next steps

Before challenging high-difficulty pursuits, practice holding a wheelie at speed to ensure your balance controls are second nature. Once you reach the finish of a run, check what a bounty is worth once banked to see how pursuit earnings compare against standard highway distance rewards.
